Art Club
Open to 4th – 5th grade students
Sponsor: Kari Lemoine
Information: Student artists will come together to improve skills, compare art and artists, and participate in different group events. The members will explore various art techniques in a small group setting and use an assortment of mediums that they may or may not experience in regular art classes. Student artists in grades 4 and 5 who are interested in participating will complete an application process (due to limited spots available). Student artists will meet Wednesday mornings from 7:15-8:00 in the Art Room. Contact Ms. Lemoine for meeting dates.

Chess Club
Open to 2nd – 5th grade students

Information: This club will teach beginner chess players basic moves/strategies and will introduce advanced tactics to improve experienced player's games. Chess club will meet 8 weeks per semester on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:15 in the cafeteria. Contact club sponsor for beginning and ending dates.

Information: Chorus is an extension of the music curriculum with an emphasis on singing and performance skills. These 4th and 5th grade students will participate in several concerts at Suwanee ES and in the community throughout the school year. This club meets on Thursdays from 7:15-8:00 am in the Music Room. - 3rd-5th: The Coder School meets each week in the Innovation Lab. The kids learn to code awesome games and apps in Scratch for kids in 3rd-5th grade! The Coder School is here to help teach the next generation how amazing coding can be! This club will meet from 3:15-4:15 PM in room 2.103 Lab on Tuesdays. Kidz Keys- K -3rd Grade
FineArtsMatter provides students in K through 2nd Grade an environment to explore and express their own creativity - all while having fun learning with friends! Our experienced teachers work with students to develop their own musical abilities, promote self-confidence, and encourage teamwork. Odyssey of the Mind
Open to 3rd-5th grade students
Sponsor: Julia Hernandez
Information: Odyssey of the Mind (OM™) teaches students how to develop and use their natural creativity to become problem-solvers. A team of 7 members work together to find an original solution to a specific problem all while staying within the constraints of the problem. Teams then get to present their solution to judges through a performance created by the team at a fun competition against other schools from around the state. Readers Rally

Information: The Gwinnett Readers Rally is a quiz bowl-style competition for students in grades 4 – 12. Students read books from a predetermined list and answer questions about those books. Each Gwinnett County school may send one team of up to 10 players to the Readers Rally. This club will meet on Monday afternoon from 3:15-4:15 in the Media Center.
